Description: As an architecture firm, we are commissioned to thoughtfully engage every aspect of design. The unique conditions posed by each project provide opportunity and learning. The West Rome Animal Clinic provided a palette of unique conditions CEVIAN had yet to experience: design for animals. Two distinct programs of "clinic" and "kennel" were provided for function and wellbeing. The "clinic" program contributes the animal pharmacy, exam rooms, isolation rooms, and state of the art surgery suite and x-ray room to the plan of the space, while the "kennel" program provides 30 semi-private animal suites and 6 private animal suites, all conditioned and wired for television entertainment. The exterior design is that of a craftsman style, which is intended to bring a sense of warmth and welcome to the relatively boorish urban fabric of West Rome.
